About Translated
Translated is where technology and humanity meet to create global understanding. Founded in 1999 by a linguist and a computer scientist, we are on a mission to allow everyone to understand and be understood in their own language.
We envision a world where people from different cultures can communicate seamlessly, with unprecedented access to knowledge, cultural exchange, and business opportunities.
To make this possible, we combine a network of over 500,000 vetted, native-speaking language professionals with a unique translation AI, Lara, capable of recognizing its limits and explaining its choices. Through an ecosystem of AI-powered translation tools (Matecat, Matesub, and Matedub), an enterprise localization platform (TranslationOS), and an online translator (Lara Translate), we support more than 400,000 clients in 200 languages, helping people and organizations connect across cultures.
Everything we build reflects a simple principle: technology should amplify human potential, not replace it. Whether through a marketing campaign, an event, or a new process, every project at Translated contributes to a larger purpose: bringing people closer together through understanding.
At Translated, you'll join an international, collaborative environment where curiosity, creativity, and excellence are valued as much as results.
We believe in humans.
We are expanding our global freelance community and are looking for professionals for the following roles:
Copywriters & Transcreators
Create original copy and use transcreation to adapt campaigns, taglines, and digital content for local audiences. Bring your creativity and cultural insight to projects for global brands, making each message resonate while preserving its intent, emotional impact, and brand voice.
Desktop Publishers & Graphic/Production Designers
Adapt multilingual brochures, presentations, packaging, and other materials, preserving their design and visual consistency across languages. Combine your technical expertise and eye for detail to turn complex layouts into polished, publication-ready content.
Interpreters
Enable clear, accurate communication across languages in remote and onsite settings as well as for sign interpreting and courts. Put your interpreting skills and cultural awareness to work, helping people connect in professional contexts where understanding matters.
Sworn Translators
Translate official documents with the precision and care required for use by authorities and institutions. Apply your linguistic expertise and knowledge of legal terminology to produce translations that meet the relevant certification requirements.
Data Annotators
Annotate data, review AI-generated outputs, and evaluate model performance across a wide range of tasks and domains. Bring your attention to detail and critical thinking to projects that help train, test, and improve AI systems.
What all our roles have in common
Across all roles, we value reliability, the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines, and a strong commitment to quality and professionalism in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
