Performance & Growth Marketer – eCommerce & DTC
This isn't a traditional media buying role.
We're looking for a performance marketer who understands that profitable growth goes far beyond ROAS.
You'll work with established DTC, eCommerce, Shopify and consumer brands , connecting paid media performance to the numbers that actually matter to the business: CAC, LTV, MER, contribution margin, payback, forecasting, attribution and profitability.
You'll have real ownership over performance, testing, budget allocation and growth decisions, while working closely with experienced strategists and senior stakeholders.
What You'll Do
Own and optimize paid acquisition across Meta, Google and TikTok
Develop and execute testing strategies across media, creative, audiences, offers and funnels
Manage and allocate meaningful paid media budgets based on performance and commercial objectives
Diagnose performance issues and identify opportunities for profitable growth
Analyze CAC, LTV, MER, ROAS, contribution margin, payback and other commercial metrics
Connect channel performance to broader business and P&L outcomes
Develop forecasts, performance models and budget recommendations
Contribute to attribution, incrementality and measurement initiatives
Partner with creative, CRO and broader growth functions to improve full-funnel performance
Turn complex data into clear, commercially relevant recommendations for founders and senior stakeholders
Continuously test, learn and improve using structured growth frameworks
What You'll Bring
3+ years of hands-on paid media experience specifically with product-based DTC/eCommerce brands
Strong hands-on experience across Meta, Google and TikTok Ads
Experience personally managing and scaling meaningful paid media budgets
In-house/brand-side DTC or eCommerce experience is strongly preferred
Strong understanding of the eCommerce customer journey, from acquisition through conversion and retention
Commercial understanding of CAC, LTV, MER, contribution margin, payback and profitability
Ability to look beyond platform metrics and understand the impact of paid media on the overall business
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to translate data into clear strategic and commercial recommendations
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Comfortable working directly with founders, senior leaders and clients
Highly organized, proactive and comfortable taking ownership
Able to work full-time and exclusively
Able to consistently work the required 4:00–6:00 PM Melbourne-time overlap
What Makes This Different
You'll be joining a team that treats performance marketing as a commercial growth function , not just a media buying function.
You'll get exposure to:
8- and 9-figure eCommerce and DTC brands
Paid media, commercial strategy and financial planning
Weekly live strategy sessions with experienced growth leaders
A structured 6-week onboarding and development program
Proprietary P&L-integrated reporting and growth tools
Structured experimentation and testing frameworks
Career progression based on impact and capability, not tenure
A fully remote, APAC-friendly working environment
Opportunities to develop into a broader growth and strategy role
Growth Path
Performance Marketer → Growth Performance Marketer → Senior Performance Marketer → Growth Strategist
Your level will depend on your experience, capability and demonstrated commercial impact.
We're particularly interested in marketers who have owned growth for real DTC/eCommerce brands , understand the numbers behind the business, and want to move beyond simply optimizing campaigns.
If you know how to turn paid media into profitable business growth, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply with examples of the DTC/eCommerce brands you've worked with, the channels you've managed, and the scale of budgets you've personally owned.
